Surviving Crazy Season - aka Christmas Shipping Time

It’s that jolly time of the year again - when the sound of tape rollers zipping, paper rustling, bubblewrap crunching, and boxes shuffling throught the studio fills the air.

Christmas always brings out the “craycray” around here - my usual very busy life takes on a whole new life form of its own when I am done with art shows for the year, with a full new set of hyperventilating techniques, speedwalking through the house, while lurching over piles of paintings, packages, and packing materials utilizing new hurdling skills, and an occasioal squawking cat that inadvertedly got tripped over on the way from here to there thrown in for good measure.

Nothing says “Christmas Time” better than the mayhem in my studio this time of year - it truly is a miracle of Nature that my head doesn’t just pop off into the big blue yonder, with all the little bits and pieces of everything that needs to be kept track of during the busiest shopping season of the year.

Call me a “Glutton for Punishment”, but this year I decided to keep with tradition, and add my annual studio sale for my sheep artwork to the fray.  Yup  - crazy has a firm grip on me.

It has been a whirlwind of everything, and truth be told, I am not even sure what day it is now, or if I had lunch lately. But, we are almost caught up - the last orders of #SheepFling are leaving on Tuesday, and after that, I will get back to work on ALL the pet portriats that have been so patiently waiting for me.

So, if your name is on my list for a pet portrait, please know this: you are NOT FORGOTTEN, and you WILL get your paintings soon. I can guarantee that you will like the outcome MUCH more, with me having just the pet portraits to work on, rather than doing ALL the “craycray” at the same time.

So, next week, the flurry of sheep will end for a bit, and there SHALL bee some fur being painted, some paws being fluffified, and some floppy puppy ears sketched out.

I can hardly wait - it’s a bit like hearing the jingle bells of a sleigh approaching around Christmas time... quite magical!

Thank you for understanding the dilemna of “too many artist pots on the fire” here - really, can’t wait to be getting your furry friends ready for you!

In the meantime, here is the latest addition to the pet gallery:
